More about eLCs

In brief, eLCs are extra money to which all schools in England are entitled. Local Authorities automatically receive money from the Standards Fund, for the following types of school and other educational establishments:

As an example, a maintained school is entitled to £1000, plus almost £10 more for each pupil at the school.

If you need to check whether your school has received its full eLC allocation, we suggest you begin by speaking to the relevant person in your school; if they need to get more information, they should speak to the person in the Local Authority who distributes Standards Fund money from the DCSF (formerly the DfES). Sorry, we know this may be easier said than done!

If you need any further information, there is a helpful source of information on this page of the Curriculum Online website.
